Builds may be unsigned until signing is configured, so Gatekeeper can say the app cannot be opened.
Right-click Leon in Applications, choose Open, and confirm. Or allow it in System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway.
Or from a terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Leon.appUnzip it and run leon.exe from a folder you own.
There is no installer. Builds may be unsigned until signing is configured, so SmartScreen can warn about an unknown publisher: choose More info, then Run anyway.
Unpack the .tar.gz and follow INSTALL.txt.
It installs the binary, a desktop entry and the icons. You need a GPU driver with Vulkan to run it.
The agents are not part of Leon. Install the ones you use (claude, codex, opencode) on every machine where you want to run them.
Or build it yourself.
Leon is a Rust workspace with a GPUI interface. You need a stable Rust toolchain, 1.85 or newer.
